Terms of use

These terms cover your use of 5 Good Spots, on the website and in the iOS app. By signing in, you agree to them and to the privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
Your account
You need to be at least 13 to use 5 Good Spots. You're responsible for what happens on your account, so keep your Apple ID secure. One account per person, and don't pretend to be someone else.
Your content
You own the lists, photos, tips and comments you post. By posting them, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, resize, display and distribute them, so we can run the service: show them to the people they're shared with, make share links and previews, and keep backups. The license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups, which are overwritten within 30 days.
Only post things you have the right to post. If you upload a photo, it should be yours or you should have permission to share it.
No tolerance for objectionable content or abuse
Don't post or do any of the following. We remove it, and may suspend the account that did it.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or targeting someone with abuse
- Hate speech, or attacks on people for who they are
- Sexual or pornographic content, or anything that sexualizes minors
- Graphic violence, or promoting self-harm, terrorism or violent extremism
- Anything illegal, or that promotes illegal activity
- Someone else's private information, such as a home address or phone number
- Content that infringes someone's copyright, trademark or other rights
- Spam, scams, paid promotion you don't disclose, or fake or misleading spots and reviews
- Impersonating a person or business
- Interfering with the service: scraping, automated accounts, getting around a suspension, or probing for security holes without permission
Reporting
In the iOS app, you can report any list, photo, comment or profile from its menu, and anywhere you can email us. We review reports within 24 hours, and remove content and suspend accounts that break these terms. To report something, or appeal a decision, email support@5goodspots.com.
Places and maps
Lists are people's opinions. Place details and maps come from Apple Maps and from other people, and may be out of date or wrong, so check before you go. We're not responsible for the places listed, or for what happens when you visit them.
Ending things
You can stop using 5 Good Spots and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and we may change or stop parts of the service. If we shut it down entirely, we'll give you notice first where we can.
Disclaimers
5 Good Spots is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for content other people post, and our total liability to you is limited to $100. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
The iOS app and Apple
These terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and isn't responsible for any claims about it, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or intellectual property claims. If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any; beyond that, Apple has no warranty obligation. You confirm you're not in a country under a US government embargo and not on a US government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and can enforce them against you. Your use of the app must also follow the App Store's usage rules.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and tell you in the app before a significant change takes effect. Continuing to use 5 Good Spots after that means you accept the new terms.
